benjso.app

A small, self-hosted platform where I build and run software, for myself and for the people I work with.

Every service here runs once and is shared: sign-in, code hosting with automated checks, deployment, monitoring, backups. Everything that belongs to someone lives in that owner's own partition, invisible to any other, and can leave with them as a whole. The platform itself is a written recipe: nothing on it was set up by hand, and all of it can be rebuilt from that recipe on any plain server.

What runs here

IdentityOne sign-in for every tool; each partition has its own realm, its own people and groups.
CodeRepositories with issues, pull requests and CI, one organisation per partition.
DeploymentEvery project is a plain container stack with its own database; a push to its repository deploys it.
CareChecks and alerts per owner, nightly encrypted backups off-site, restore by script.

Who it is for

My own tools live in my partition. Other people and groups get partitions of their own, each with its own people, groups and projects, and each able to move to a server of its own. Access is by invitation: people are added to a partition and to exactly the tools they should see.
